I am an educated person, with a certificate for Secondary School and in Commerce from the National Business Education Department. Yet I was unable to find a job for 14 years. The best thing to help you live a successful live here is to have a good job, but in Tanzania, disabled people are not treated equally. Set of 4 hand woven Ikat placemats. Ikat is a fabric in which the yarns have been tie-dyed before weaving. The placemats are woven by Chaula on a small table loom. The work is both skilful and time consuming as Chaula takes great care with his work. It takes him a day to make 8 placemats ( two sets). Because each placemat is made individually there may be some variation to the picture shown but that means each set is unique and special.
